That's my world, Vikings

Today I'll show you a little bit of the Viking museum in Värmlands Nysäter and some other photos from the little viking village by Byälven. Unfourtionatly I don't have any picture of the museumbuilding itself.

The first pictures are from inside the museum. If I remember correctly this viking street are from a museum in York.

Theese pictures are 1. A chest with weapons, 2. The head of the Viking ship Glad of Gillberga, 3. Photo taken thru one of the holes for the oars, 4. The handle of a sword, 5. The handle of a knife.

1. Detail from the ship, 2. The tent with the headmans bed, 3. Weapons house, 4. Detail from the tents, 5. From inside a tent.

Viking Wedding onboard at Glad of Gillberga.

Every year a little viking village is built by byälven in Värmlands Nysäter, near the museum. It was also here the ship were built, in a big house called Gladhall.

The ship is built, 1995, in the same way as the vikings did it. It's a copy of a viking warship found in Roskildefjorden.

Glad of Gillberga is 17,5 m long and have room for 13 pairs of oars.

Read more about it here.
